Meaning, is it right to share our abysses? Shouldn’t the true depth of the abyss be hidden, kept out of sight, left covered to prevent accidents and prying eyes?
(meaning the generic, universal, human sense of “our”, not referring to anyone in particular…)
i don’t think so. i think hiding it propagates the myth that some people have it all together, that they’ve finally achieved control over their own lives. entropy happens to everyone, and everyone has an ocean inside them.
that said, i also don’t think we should just puke up our abysses on everyone we meet. this is where judge of character comes in, do you think?
