As a half Swede, I love fish, but rarely eat it here in the eastern side of West Africa, as we are situated too far from the water... Importing fish from the coast or from the Niger river would take hours and hours and there are very few cooling trucks in this part of the world... :-D The favourite fish in Niamey however is the Capitaine. My favourite meat in Zinder is smoked mutton... Now that's a delicacy! But to keep with your fish-head-eating theme, I have an inclination that I should be recommended roasted grasshoppers. But I have to admit despite my twenty years in Niger, I have yet to cross that border too... Greetings!
